Drafting the answers is the easy half. The half that decides whether a questionnaire actually goes out today is everything else: the file format, the one question nobody can answer, and the proof of who signed off.
In and out
Their workbook, back as their workbook
The file you were sent is usually the file they want back. Excel comes back as the same workbook, with the answers written into the cells they were meant for and everything around them untouched.
- Styling, merged cells and macros in .xlsm workbooks are preserved
- Data validation is read, so a “Yes / No / N/A” cell gets one of those exact three
- Merged headers, several sheets, and question text spread over more than one column
- PDF and Word come back with a formatted answers appendix, because rewriting someone else’s document in place is how documents get corrupted

The gaps
Send one question to the person who knows it
There is always a question no document covers: the cyber-liability limit, the name of the DPO. It goes to whoever holds that answer, as one question, by email.
- They answer from the email. No account, no seat, no login
- Their answer is saved to your library, so the next questionnaire that asks already has it and nobody has to email them again
- The row stays marked “waiting on” them until it comes back
- Reviewers are not billed per seat. That is the whole point of the pricing
Compounding
An answer library, not a fine-tuned model
Every answer you approve is kept as text you own. When a later questionnaire asks the same thing in different words, the approved wording is reused as-is rather than regenerated.
- Nothing is trained on your data. It is a library of your own approved sentences
- Reused answers are labelled as reused, so you can see which came from your own past decisions
- Browse, edit, retire or approve entries yourself
- This is why the second questionnaire takes noticeably less of your time than the first
Proof
An audit trail on every answer
“Who approved this answer, and when?” is a question that appears on the questionnaires this product fills in. It can answer that about itself.
- Every change is kept: what it was, what it became, who changed it and when
- Answers submitted by an outside expert are recorded with the address they came from
- Generated answers quote the passage they were drawn from, name the file and the page or section it sits on, and open it
- A citation that cannot be verified against your documents lowers the answer’s grade rather than being published

The cheapest questionnaire is the one nobody sends. Publish the answers you are asked most often on a page of your own, and some of them stop at the page.
